Statement of Faith
We believe in the divine inspiration and authoritative Word of both the Old and New Testament.
We believe that God eternally exists in three Persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, having the same nature, traits, and excellence, and worthy of the same worship, acclaim and obedience.
We believe Jesus, the eternal Son of God, took upon Himself the form of a man by means of the virgin birth, lived a sinless life, yet retained His absolute deity, being at the same time God and man.
Atonement for Sin
We believe that atonement for sin was made by the sacrificial and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His descension, then ascension into heaven, and His priestly intercession.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father, the Comforter who indwells and places every believer in the Body of Christ, bestows spiritual gifts upon the Church and convicts the world of sin and the judgment to come.
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
While all believers are in-dwelt by the Spirit of God (Romans 8), we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite endowment of power for service and is separate from conversion (Acts).
Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, includes Water Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again.
Marriage is God-ordained. “The creator made them male and female, and said, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (Matthew 19:4-5). Marriage is to be an exclusive relationship and a faithful union between a man and a woman.
Because this church upholds the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman and understand this to be ordained and holy in the eyes of God, this church will not recognize and/or uphold any lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender marriage. This church will not allow the Senior Pastor to perform any homosexual marriage in this church or while they are serving this church. And, although we will provide Christian love and spiritually guide homosexuals that may join our fellowship, we uphold the right to not allow anyone actively practicing a homosexual lifestyle to participate in church leadership or hold an office within the church.
